A Taste of Emilia- Delicious Deli in Dublin
This is not your average Dublin Deli. A Taste of Emilia transports you to Italy without having to step on an airplane! A few months ago, I discovered this little delicious Italian Deli/Salumeria and Wine Bar in Dublin. (Salumeria is a place that sells cured meats.) It is the closest taste to Italy you will find in the city centre. Located on Liffey Street Lower, beside the Ha’penny bridge (across from Temple Bar), it has some seats outside and a few tables and chairs inside.
Always busy, this little deli and wine bar is the perfect place to enjoy a bellini(a Prosecco cocktail with peach puré, priced at €5.50) and a bruschetta for a brunch or lunch with some friends. I had a similar style bruschetta in Sorrento two summer’s ago. I was surprised how traditional and tasty this one was. The bruschetta is around €7 and will fill your stomach for the rest of the day!
Named after the region Emilia-Romagna in Italy, the owner fell in love with Ireland a few years ago on a visit, and decided to open this little place two years ago. She said she wanted to introduce Dubliners to some of her favourite snacks from her region.
This is the most authentic Italian snacking spot in Dublin with friendly Italian staff. The menu offers a wide range of bruschette, paninis and traditional taglieri, which are platters of cold cuts (ranging from €15-20). Today’s special was buffalo mozzarella with Parma ham priced at €13.
There are postcards on the wall from friends and customers from all over the world.
I have never been to Ireland, but when I go I will certainly try to find this deli.
Well thats me done with subway that place looks savage great find
A Taste of Emilia is a little gem in Dublin alright. You’ve reminded me that I’m due a trip there soon 🙂
Nice blog! I’ll be stopping by again.
Oh lovely! Ireland is on my “someday” list… I’ll get there eventually! How funny, though, to eat Italian in Ireland, when *both* seem so distant to me! I *do* love to travel, by food or by plane! Mmmm…
Ah, I need to go back to Dublin soon, then!! I loved the city so much!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog 🙂 I am really liking what I see of yours so far! Especially because I will be in Dublin come January! Do you live there or are you vacationing there? I would love to hear more about it!

Definitely going to try this next time I’m in Dublin.
Thanks for following me! I had thought maybe you were a friend of The Actor’s Diet, but now I find this and it seems you may be in Dublin, too! Just passed this in a taxi the other night and am eager to try. And actually am about to roll out some restaurant reviews for Dublin on my blog, too.
