Magic Mushrooms

If you want to explore magic mushrooms  (shrooms) and have a mind blowing experience then stop reading right now….but…. if you want to taste some magic in your mouth using normal mushrooms then keep reading!!!

mushrooms with fillings

A few weeks ago, I put some garlic sauce over mushrooms and melted cheddar cheese over them. It was a magical experience! It just tasted so good. I had an idea today to fill these mushrooms with different mixtures. These would make great appetizers for a party or a nice snack!

Clean the mushrooms and take off the stems.

Put the mushrooms on a tin-foiled tray and drizzle some olive oil over them.

Place the mushrooms in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes at about 180C.  Add the mixtures for the last five minutes.

In the meantime, prepare the fillings:

Mushrooms filled with crab

Mix some crab meat with mayonnaise, ketchup and a tiny bit of cream (if you have it) in a cup. Then put the mixture into the mushrooms.

Mushrooms with meat, red pepper and red onion

Chop up half a small red pepper, half a small red onion, garlic and fry the ingredients with round steak mince on the pan with a tin of plum tomatoes.

Mushrooms filled with garlic mayonnaise topped with cheddar

This is so easy and so good! Mix some garlic granules with some mayonnaise in a cup. Then spoon the mixture into the mushrooms.

Other ideas:

You could also fill some mushrooms with sun-dried tomatoes and goats cheese, cheddar and bacon, spicy peppers, olives and feta and much more.

Be creative!

I put the remaining crab mixture on some crackers. The other cracker has some yummy whole grain mustard with whiskey on it.

We enjoyed these with a glass of mulled wine!
