Peppermint Tea Addict

Coming from a nation of tea drinkers, drinking tea is a social event. I tried to stop drinking tea, but I couldn’t, so I turned to a healthier option, peppermint tea. I am addicted! I drink it first thing in the morning and throughout the day. When I was visiting my friend, she noticed how much I loved peppermint tea, so she posted over some home-grown dried peppermint tea leaves from her garden in Germany. My brother is finding the tea a great relief for his flu.  He stirs some honey in with it. If you feel like you need a boost this winter, then add some marvelous manuka honey to your peppermint tea!

Peppermint tea is not only soothing and tastes great, but it also has some great health benefits. If you have any stomach problems, peppermint tea is an amazing natural remedy. It can help ease irritable bowl syndrome, nausea, digestion and reduce heartburn. I also like drinking it to detox after a night out on the town!

Normally, I just use peppermint teabags, but I found the leaves straight from my friend’s garden are incredibly minty and delicious.  The leaves float at the top, but soon sink to the bottom. If you are a mint lover like me, then I recommend that you add it to your daily diet for the winter to warm your bones and clear your body and mind!
